Scope of the Project: MEPFP Engineering Design
Scope of the Project: MEPFP Engineering Design
This existing 11,000 s.f., 2-story, existing structure was an $1.5MM adaptive reuse project which transformed an existing industrial facility into an experiential marketing center for Limitless Creative Marketing. The facility consists of open and enclosed offices, a production studio, conference spaces and an open 2-story collaboration space. As the original structure was designed as industrial, many new MEP/FP systems were required.
(3) new packaged roof top units were provided totaling 45-tons of cooling to serve the renovated structure including new stand-alone controls. While the facility had ample electrical power, the existing interior distribution was in poor condition and needed to be replaced/expanded. A new dedicated fire pump service was provided in addition to the new power and lighting distribution. A new water service was required as the new concept included a significant increase in fixtures from the previous use including (2) showers, (3) kitchenettes and multiple restroom facilities. In addition, the remodeled structure was newly sprinklered throughout. A domestic water booster pump and a new fire pump were engineered due to Chicago’s lower water pressure. |
